The company was established in 2005 amid beautiful natural surroundings on the island of Venoe in the Limfjord (a sea inlet in the north western Jutland peninsula of Denmark). The location is ideal for the production of both oysters and fish.

Do you like oysters?
Oysters are a low-fat, expensive delicacy. They can grow to diameter of over 15 cm. under good conditions and live for more than 20 years.

The European flat oysters range throughout western Europe from Norway to Portugal and into the Mediterranean. They are found in tidal zones and in water up to 30 meters deep.

The minimum legal size for native oysters in the EU is 60 g. although the smallest sold by Venø Fish Farm is 80 g.
